WHO IS This For?
For growth-minded business owners who want to increase their influence with the media, this is the right place.
Many founders are great at what they do, but sometimes feel like the best-kept secret that nobody knows about.
The noise feels like it is everywhere: Facebook, LinkedIn, advertising, social media. Paying to stand out amongst the noise is not only hard but really expensive.
Founders know they have potential if only more people would notice them. They have flirted with the idea of publicity but do not have the knowledge or the skills yet.
Or perhaps they have already had some publicity success and want to go to the next level of national exposure.
THE COST OF Remaining Invisible
While others spend thousands on ads that stop working the moment the budget runs out, earned media compounds. A single appearance on national television or a feature in a major publication changes how the market perceives a brand forever.
Imagine being the journalist's first call when they need an expert in a specific category. That is what happens when founders stop chasing the market and start letting the media build their authority for them.
WHAT ATTENDEES
Experience At The MasterClass

1
Phase 1
Pre-Training
The digital training undertaken prior to the two days highlights this difference, helps founders think totally differently about their business, and starts the process of building a solid media pitch.

2
Phase 2
2 Days Together
Day 1:
Intensive coaching to understand the media landscape, what journalists are looking for, and how to provide that for them. The focus is on:
- Unlocking the hidden stories that live inside the business
- Improving the speed of thought to respond nimbly during media interviews
- Demonstrating how effective pitches are delivered
- Working individually on media pitches and key messages
Day 2:
It is all about the journalists. Attendees sit in an intimate circle with EACH AND EVERY journalist, many of whom return year after year because they get so many stories. Pitches go directly to them, and the journalists are there eager and willing to help.
Finally, Tool Box Time sets attendees up with all the tools and templates needed for ongoing media success.

3
Phase 3
Implementation
The MasterClass is a reflection of life: if nothing is done, nothing is gained.
Following the MasterClass, attendees have a Strategic Implementation Call where Kate gets them into action and guides them through what each and every journalist from the MasterClass wants from them.
This Strategy Call is a one-on-one, step-by-step prescription of media moves to make the most of all the new-found media connections.
UPCOMING Events
The Meet the Press MasterClass is only held twice per year.

MEET YOUR HOST, Kate Engler
The Publicity Princess
Kate Engler has spent over two decades inside the Australian media industry. She knows exactly what journalists want, how they think, and what makes them say yes to a story.
After building relationships with journalists across every major national outlet, Kate created the Meet the Press MasterClass to give growth-minded business owners the one thing no PR agency ever would: direct, personal access to the journalists themselves.
Over 500 Australian businesses have now been through the system. Over 75% have secured media coverage. Many have appeared multiple times.
Kate does not just teach the system. She is in the room, personally ensuring every attendee is presented to her journalist colleagues in the best possible light.
