THIS COULD BE YOU

Tim Dettmann
Physiotherapist Tim Dettmann returned to the Today Show, this time tackling the growing myth that exercise-related cortisol spikes are making people tired and fat. Tim explained that an increase in cortisol during exercise is completely normal, with levels generally returning to normal within around 90 minutes. More importantly, regular exercise actually helps keep cortisol within a healthy range over the long term. His message? Be wary of social media health advice that isolates and blames a single hormone for complex health issues. And a lovely shout-out from Tim himself… Tim shared that his media journey began with Kate’s PR MasterClass around 10 years ago, followed by persistence, refining his pitches and continuing to show up. As he put it, success came from finding the right expert, following the process and doing the work.

And it just kept coming with an ABC Melbourne interview, an ABC News piece, an article in The Senior, TWO interviews on 3AW, AND a 9Honey article as well!!
Kylee’s mission is to destigmatise the immense shame often associated with falling for an online scam. Victims have fallen prey to an international crime syndicate and surely deserve sympathy, not judgement.

Katie Willy
Melbourne Mastitis Clinic
Looking back, osteopath Katie Willy can see she’s been on the hormonal roller coaster of perimenopause for nearly a decade, she told News.com.au. Migraines, aching joints, fluctuations in mood including rage, dread and deep depression began to plague her.
But last year, things took a terrifying turn. On a long weekend away, Katie succumbed to such a deep depression that she was unable to get out of bed. What she and many other women know was that she was entering a deadly window of risk. Data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) consistently shows that the highest age-specific suicide rate for females is in the perimenopausal 45–49 age group, followed closely by the 50–54 age group.

Louise Siwicki

Louise was recently featured in Wellness on Time Magazine, a global publication sharing insights on wellbeing and performance.
The article speaks to something she sees often – where things that used to feel straightforward stop feeling that way. You’re still showing up, still doing what you’ve always done. But it feels heavier, slower, less clear. The issue is capacity and simply pushing through comes at a cost because pressure can create output but it borrows from capacity to do it.
Luke Taylor
Crime Story
Working with hundreds of different people each week in his workshops, Luke sees first-hand the rising level of stress that people are under – petrol, interest rates, inflation, war and increasing crime and social pressures. He spoke to the Today Show about the recent alleged ‘Kill Car’ chase in Sydney and the growing frustration of drivers and pedestrians with illegal bikes – both unregistered trail bikes and e-Bikes.

Sarah Asciutto

Sarah, a certified olive oil sommelier from Rio Vista Olives in South Australia, featured in a Financial Review article about the superhuman olfactory senses driving the nation’s top sommeliers. Today, that extraordinary sense of smell – and its twin sense, taste – allows Asciutto to pick up notes of passionfruit and guava in her Hardy’s Mammoth extra virgin olive oil, or the faint hint of banana in a spoonful of koroneiki oil.
